150 competitors participated in the first of the 3 mid-winter half marathons and 11.1 km fun run/walks held at the picturesque Auckland Domain on Sunday.

Once again Aucklander Carolynn Tassie wins the Self-Transcendence 24 Hour Race - having now achieved outright victories for the past 4 years. Race walker Peter Baillie walks 182 km to break the New Zealand 100 mile and 24 hour walking records.

On Saturday 16th July 2005 - at the recently opened Waitakere Trust Stadium athletic track in West Auckland, New Zealand - 10 runners from Auckland Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team ran a full marathon (42.195 km) in 2 hours 2 minutes 6 seconds.

Hayden Bell and Garbitashri Webster - both members of the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team - were outright victors in the Self-Transcendence 10 & 5 km races on a blue-skied, autumn morning at the scenic Auckland Domain last Sunday.
