Gary Mullins & Lise Lafferty win Sri Chinmoy 100k

Ben Aynsley & Georgina Cox become 2015 New Zealand 100k Champs!

Gary Mullins 42, Sydney AUS (7.12.59) and Lise Lafferty 36, also from Sydney (9.55.01), were winners of the 10th Sri Chinmoy 100k Races held in Hagley Park North, Christchurch.

After a chilly 7.00 am start the sun eventually appeared ... heralding near ideal running conditions.

Gary ran powerfullly and consistantly throughout the 100k race and appeared remarkably fresh at the finish ... his excellent time (7.12.59) was just 4 minutes over Martin Luke's 2012 race record (7.08.37).

Runner-up Ben Aynsley 28, (Greymouth) ran a fine 7.33.21 personal best to be the first Kiwi finisher and winner of the Athletics New Zealand 100k Championship for 2015.

Georgina Cox 39, (Wellington) was stedfast in completing the 100k in 10.34.44 ... becoming the 2015 N.Z women's champ.

Shannon-Leigh Litt 36, (Christchurch) achieved an outright victory in the Sri Chinmoy 50-Mile (80.467k) Race ... recording a super-excellent time of 6.36.31 ... while Logan Austin 33, (Christchurch) was first man with 9.52.40.

2014 Sri Chinmoy 50k winner, Jayden Anker 23, (Christchurch), became a repeat winner in the Sri Chinmoy 50k Race in a personal best time of 3.33.37 ... Lisa Brignull 40, (Christchurch) was 1st woman ... running a strong, steady 3.51.30.

In the Sri Chinmoy 100k (4-person) Teams Race the 'Weekend Warriors' were the first team home in 7.41.47 ... followed by the 'Goldcard Hopefulls' (8.44.06) ... just 1 min 26 sec ahead of 'Erics Team' (8.45.32).
